100 images in 10x10 cm format (as if they were Instagram posts), exhibited without any curatorial filter in a 100mq space. The physical space is transformed into an open, horizontal feed: a real, walkable visual stream.
Inspired by the radical and democratic approach of Arroz con mango by the collective Group Material, this exhibition opens a breach within the traditional exhibition space. Using Instagram as a tool to activate ephemeral connections that materialize in a physical space, the exhibition becomes an open, horizontal feed. Each image is a link between sender and viewer; digital and physical.
The project is based in the act of participation: an open call circulated through free channels, where the only requirement was to send an image via direct message to the exhibition’s Instagram account.
Just like postcards were once chosen for their aesthetic value or for representing a place one had visited, participants selected their images instinctively and personally, guided by subjective motives rather than external criteria. The first 100 images received were exhibited, forming a collective visual mosaic that reflects, through the absence of hierarchy, a multiplicity of voices, contexts, and backgrounds.
Each image is accompanied by the username of the sender and the place where the artwork was made, reinforcing the idea of the image as a contemporary postcard.
